To catch a grass snake you have grab its tail and its head, try to keep it on a stick- if you are confident and experienced. If not just leave it and walk away. ALWAYS REMEMBER!! To pick up a snake at the head so it cant bite you and to support its body and tail! And never pick up an adder! You may be bitten and become seriously ill!

Your posting would suggest to the in experienced that it is OK to play with any snake. Adders do not make good snakes for the inexperienced to play with!

Hi There, My name is Chris Lloyd and I am a semi pro wildlife photographer living in Essex. I am hoping to photograph Adders as I also love reptiles and was wondering if you know of anywhere in particular where I could do so please? I have a website at www.c-m-l.com. Feel free to email me if you would prefer not to post locations. Thanks and regards, Chris.
